What are our COVID-19 precautions?

We appreciate that in these challenging times it is not an option to meet in person for a lesson.

We are encouraging all our tutors to provide the online tuition option for their bookings.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons can take place at any appropriate agreed location - this can be taken online or in person.

What is the resolution centre?

The Resolution Centre is our internal specialist hub for any customer support queries.
Anything from payment details to help and support, our team works around the clock to provide 24hr service, so feel free to drop us a message any time!

Can I be a student and a tutor at the same time?

Unfortunately, if you are a student on the app who would also like to become a tutor, you will have to create a new account to do so.
We are looking to enable dual accounts in the near future so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for those updates! .

I am having a problem with the app, what should I do?

What devices can I use?

We aim to make EDU App accessible to as many students as possible.
You can use your laptop, your phone or even your iPad for lessons!
You can login in either through the website or download our app now!
EDU app is currently only available on iOS, but we are working on releasing an Android app right now, so make sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram to be the first to find out about the release!

How do I find a tutor?

Finding a tutor using EDU App is super quick and easy.

  1. Choose your subject or university using our filter system.
  2. Drop them a message explaining what you need help with.
  3. Agree on a time and location.
  4. Confirm your booking and then you’re all set!.
How much does it cost per lesson?

Prices for lessons start as low as £15 per hour.
Tutors will only be able to increase their prices if they show that they are responsive to students, providing outstanding service and consistently receiving high reviews!

What happens if I'm not happy with my lesson?

We’re really sorry to hear that you weren’t happy with your lesson.

I can't find a tutor from my UK University - what should I do?

We’re really sorry that you weren’t able to find a tutor from your university.
Drop us a message using our contact us form, or alternatively contact us via email at support@edu-app.co.uk so that we can try to recruit more tutors from your university!

Is my payment safe?

Yes 100%.
At EDU, your safety and security is our top priority!
All payment details are stored securely with Stripe - one of the largest international payment processors who are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1.
This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
Additionally, EDU App does not have access or visibility to any of your payment details.

What if I wish to cancel my lesson?

Booked a lesson and realised you can no longer make it?
Don’t worry, just make sure to cancel your lesson at least 24hr before the agreed time slots to get a full refund for your lessons.
Unfortunately, cancelations made less than 24hr before the lesson time will be subject to 50% charge.

We encourage all our tutors to follow government guidelines and provide online tuition options for their bookings.

How much can I earn and how can I increase my earnings?

Our unique wage slider system offers students an inexpensive and fair price for lessons. Tutors can earn up to £30 per hour by replying to messages quickly, providing outstanding service and receiving great reviews.

What is the Resolution Centre?

How much commission does EDU take?

In order to keep our services running, we take a flat fee of 20% per hour.

When can I withdraw my funds?

The great thing about tutoring with us, is that you can access your earnings as soon as a lesson is over through your EDU wallet, with absolutely no hidden fees or costs for withdrawing at any time.

What if I have graduated?

Don’t worry if you’ve graduated in the last 3 years, you can still sign up online to become a tutor.
Head on over to our sign up page, add a few details about your degree and education history to set up your tutoring profile!

I need some help creating an account - how can I contact you?

Do I get matched to a student?

We don’t match students to specific tutors.
Instead, students will be able to browse through your tutor profile to see if you can help them!
This is why we encourage tutors to take some time updating their profile and adding any necessary information that might be useful to students, when deciding on the perfect tutor for them.
We recommend adding a clear friendly photo, alongside some of your specific modules so that students know exactly what you’re offering!

What if my student doesn't turn up?

Don’t worry! If your student doesn’t turn up, or cancels your lesson with less than 24 hours notice you will still be paid 50% of the lesson!
